EAC 2025, thank you!

On the last day of EAC in Lecce, we checked off the last items on our to-do list:

• Martin Rigler gave the scientific presentation Optimized Source Apportionment Using Total Carbon and the Black Carbon Measurements: Integrating Tracer and AAE Model
• The Aerosol Magee Scientific team kept their energy high with a morning run
• Captured the last snapshots to convey the atmosphere of the event

Key takeaway: Black Carbon took centre stage at the European Aerosol Conference in Lecce. This tiny but powerful pollutant is finally getting the attention it deserves, thanks to the EU’s updated Air Quality Directive and initiatives like StanBC. European researchers are driving progress in measurement and understanding – proving that Black Carbon is not just a scientific concern, but a policy priority.
